Do we need Billing to use Inventory?
No. Inventory works on its own, with customers kept as a name and phone on each order. Add Billing and the two work as one: the same customers and items, and GST invoices from your dispatches.
We have a shop and a godown. Can we see both?
Yes. Stock is kept per godown, shop or store room, and you move it between them with a transfer. Each item shows what's where.
How is our stock valued?
At weighted average cost. Each receipt moves the average, and stock going out is valued at the current average, so the value on screen is always up to date.
What happens when we sell something that isn't in stock?
It's refused. Stock never goes below zero, so a counter invoice for more than is on the shelf tells you exactly how much is left.
Can a big order go out in parts?
Yes. Purchase orders are received and sales orders dispatched in as many parts as you need, and each part can be billed separately.
Do you handle batches, expiry dates or barcode scanning?
Not yet. Items carry a barcode, but scanning, batches, serial numbers and expiry dates are still to come. We'll tell you plainly in the demo what fits your stock today.
